Sandy Creek Ranch is a full service boarding facility offering riding lessons, junior rodeo events, training, full board, summer camps, events and photography sessions on our 50 acre ranch just 12 minutes from UGA's campus.
Come see what makes us different!
Whether you're learning to ride for the first time or knocking the dust off your boots, we offer lessons for students of all ages. Introductory lessons are $55 for an hour-long private session with one of our qualified cowboys or cowgirls. Check out the ranch and see why our program is so popular!
If you have a child who would love to spend the week at our ranch learning how to ride, care for and enjoy activities based around horses, you've come to the right place! We are offering two weeks of summer camp this year: June 2-6th and June 16th-20th. Hours are from 9am - 2pm and include everything from roping lessons to a cowpoke campfire! For ages 6-16, no experience required.
Want to take a ride on the back of one of our solid trail horses and experience the range for yourself? Book a 2 hour guided trail ride for yourself, or a group! Never ridden a horse before but want to try this out? Book an introductory lesson first, and we will schedule a trail ride for you in the near future! Times/Dates are weather-permitting so call first before booking!
Owner of Sandy Creek Ranch
Savannah has a background in eventing, with a passion for restarting off-track racehorses, as well as breeding, and starting young horses in their field of highest potential. A mom of three littles and a lifelong horseman, she enjoys creating opportunities to share the western experience with fellow horse lovers.
Kathrin is our resident beginner instructor, equine caretaker and photographer. She brilliantly shares the love of horses with new riders in an environment in which they can learn safely.
As owner of several horses of her own, Carissa brings not just the knowledge of riding to the ranch, but conscious horsemanship as well. She competes in barrel racing, participates in a traveling drill team and has a background in junior rodeo.
